Rideshare rider terms covering trip requests, pricing, safety, and account obligations.

Rider Legal United States Version rideshare-rider-terms-us-v1 Effective 2026-05-18

Overview

These Terms apply to Rider use of Oppep rideshare services in the United States. By requesting or taking a trip, you agree to use the service lawfully, provide accurate account details, and respect Driver, vehicle, and safety rules.

Trip Requests And Pricing

  • Trip pricing is shown before confirmation when available and may include time, distance, toll, service, and payment-processing components.
  • Some trips may be re-priced if the route, duration, stops, pickup conditions, or destination materially change.
  • Cancellation or no-show fees may apply when a Driver has already committed time or distance to your request.

Rider Conduct

  • Riders must provide accurate pickup details and remain reachable during active trip matching and pickup.
  • Riders may not damage the vehicle, obstruct safe driving, threaten any person, or use the platform for unlawful activity.
  • Riders are responsible for making sure any guests or co-riders follow the same conduct rules.

Payments And Account Standing

  • Riders must keep at least one valid payment path available when the service requires prepaid or post-trip collection.
  • Failed collections, charge disputes, abuse of promotions, or repeated cancellation misuse can result in account limits or suspension.

Safety And Support

  • Emergency or support tools in the app are part of the service experience, but riders should still contact public emergency services when immediate intervention is required.
  • Trip records, limited route data, support messages, and relevant safety reports may be reviewed to investigate incidents, disputes, or policy violations.
